Paper Woven Baskets – Recycled Paper Crafts
I have always wanted to make woven baskets. Three days ago, I made two paper woven baskets. I recycled paper from my daughter’s old coloring notebooks. This is a great craft to recycle old paper that you do not want anymore. Yay!!! to spring cleaning.
This project is a part of my Spring Cleaning Challenge. I am trying to re-organize my home space. I thought I would make some DIY crafts using the supplies I have at hand. Making my home beautiful, one step at a time is my goal.
Here are my Paper Woven Baskets:
I made a round basket with flat strips of paper. I used bright acrylic paints in pretty raspberry pink, yellow, blue and pistachio colors for the first basket. These colors were chosen by my daughter Shaman.
I made a spiral shaped pencil stand looking at a how-to video on Youtube. My little girl helped me paint this other one. Do you see the dab of paint on the folds? That is her work. ;) I painted it in 4 different colors on each side.
The colors I used are red, blue, green and orange. I also used a vintage gift wrapping paper for the base. It is a pretty pink floral paper.
Paper crafts is a fun and inexpensive craft for anyone. I also made a lot of paper beads, jewelry sand paper mache projects a while ago. Some of my paper projects can be found HERE.
I know these baskets are not so perfect. But I am very happy for trying a new craft. It made my daughter more happier than me as I told her I was making it for her to keep her pencils and painting supplies. I absolutely love it. Do you?
