Description
1mm Muslin Fabric Twine. Hand dyed cotton twine in different shades of colors. It is made with a very soft and fine cotton muslin cotton fabric. The fabric is first made into a ribbon, then I have tightly hand twisted the long yarn.
The ends are left raw which adds an added touch of handmade charm to this yummy art yarn. The end result of anything you make with this tattered twine would be absolutely stunning.
I hand twisted this fabric twine using an age old method that my mom taught me. She used to spin yarn on Charkha and knows many homemade techniques. Due to its handmade nature, there will be some unevenness which is the beauty of all handmade things. :)

This is a 1 ply yarn/ cord.
I hand sewed each ribbon to another ribbon with matching thread. Then I hand twist these ribbons tightly to make this twine. It takes me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use my handmade creation to make something beautiful.
I have kept the edges of this cord raw or unfinished purposely to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & give a wild touch to this art yarn.
Uses:
It can be used for making jewelry, crocheting, knitting, weaving, scrap booking, macrame, gift wrapping….your imagination is the limit to what your hands and heart can make with it.
The process:
A sheer and finest of quality muslin fabric is hand dyed by me using the tie dye Shibori method. Then I meticulously strips of this fabric and sew the short ends together to make a long ribbon yarn. This ribbon yarn is then tightly hand twisted by me to make this resulting yarn.
